5 Things you Need to Know About the H-FIT
- Testing Cost: $900
- Duration: 2 Hours
- This health assessment is a combination of the VO2 Max, RMR, and the Functional Movement, or Gait test.
- Wear or bring loose fitting exercise clothes and shoes. Also bring a change of clothes for afterwards if you would like to shower and change.
- The test is performed at our private gym located in upper midtown near UES.
What to Expect
After the 2 hour test, you'll will get a detailed report explaining how efficiently your body functions. From mobility to posture, movement to cardio, strength to body composition.
This complete body assessment is a requirement for all private members at Apex, and with good reason: the detailed results act as the blueprint for creating an injury free, corrective health program for each individual.
Common Questions & Answers
From the VO2 Max, you'll learn how well or efficiently your body's cardio system is performing.
The Resting Metabolic Rate test will shed light on your body's ability to efficiently turn food into fuel. You'll also understand how many calories it takes your body to continue regular functions like heartbeat, breathing, etc. This will help you understand how fast or slow your metabolism rate is.
Lastly, the functional movement test will give detailed, pinpoint information about your body's ability to move efficiently and hopefully help you understand what you need to improve to reduce the possibility of injury and pain.
Yes, but we recommend not having a heavy meal within 1 to 2 hours of the test.
Bring or wear loose fitting running clothes. Also bring a change of clothes for after the test if you would like to shower and change before you leave.
Yes, this is where all the reporting comes from. without the mask, we cannot accurately test your VO2 Max or RMR.
The complete H-Fit will take 2 hours.
The phases of testing are different. VO2 Max will require that we get your heart rate way up. You'll be running on a treadmill.
The Resting Metabolic Rate test is performed laying motionless.
The movement test requires a little bit of balance and holding a position for a short time.
